ART of Feminine Negotiation Podcast Launch

Now, more than ever, as we navigate these changing times, where the world as we knew it seems to be in flux, it’s critical to make sure you have the skills to negotiate your path. As you know, I believe all of life is a negotiation. In the current climate, with uncertainty surrounding everything from your health, to your finances and economic security, to your ability to socially engage, it’s even more important to step up to take control over how you negotiate your future. To make sure people have multiple ways to consume our content and to share these important messages, we’re excited to announce the official launch of our Art of Feminine Negotiation podcast! Those who know me, also know I believe negotiation isn’t about the bark and bite. It isn’t about toughness carrying the day. While I advocate that you negotiate your path and take control over how you negotiate your future, it’s important to remember that the Art of Feminine Negotiation program is about bringing rapport-building, empathy, flexibility, intuition and trust into your negotiations in addition to assertiveness, as a means to getting better outcomes, longer-lasting results, better relationships, less conflict and stress, and better overall quality of life in almost every way. Interested? 

And when I talk about assertiveness, I’ll remind you that isn’t the same as aggressiveness. Assertiveness comes from confidence. Confidence comes from knowledge. Knowledge comes from preparation. The Art of Feminine Negotiation program helps with all of that. Not only will it help you personally, but I believe this new paradigm for negotiation is key to the betterment of our world.

This new approach to negotiations is valuable at any time, but particularly so in the face of the kind of panic and fear we’re seeing in the wake of the Coronavirus today. I had contemplated delaying the launch of my new podcast, but decided it was more important than ever to get this message out, to share tools, tips, tactics and mindset shifts to help people negotiate their best life, with intention. I hope you decide to make it a must to tune in to the show each week. 

Why me? Why this mission?


I’ve been an attorney for over 30 years, negotiating high stakes deals across the spectrum. Like most attorneys, I was led to believe I had to bring a ‘take no prisoners’, ‘leave nothing on the table’ approach to bargaining to be successful. My clients called me Barracuda. They meant it as a compliment. Others no doubt called me worse. I was very effective but there was a high cost that came with that approach. And then I had a series of epiphanies. Have you ever had one of those life-changing mindset shifts? I wish I could say it only took one, but it took me a while to overcome decades of conditioning – to really get it. Real negotiation isn’t about winning or losing or even ‘win/win’ in the sense that most people use that term. In fact, the most valuable skills that make and mark the most effective negotiators are the skills that you probably overlook altogether when you think about negotiating. And if you think you’re not a great negotiator or can’t be a great negotiator, you just may be the best equipped. Or if you think the only way to succeed is to bring that masculine energy to the table, be prepared to be surprised.
